Doli Services

Shri Sammed Shikharji.

Palkhi (Doli) services are available for elderly pilgrims, devotees with physical difficulties, and those unable to complete the yatra on foot. These services are operated by local service groups and registered helpers, following traditional and regulated practices.

The palkhi is manually carried by trained bearers along the approved yatra route, ensuring safety, balance, and respect for religious customs. Availability may vary depending on season, weather conditions, and crowd volume, especially during peak pilgrimage periods.

Local Markets & Basic Shops

Shops

Yatra Base Market

Located near the yatra starting point, this market offers essential pilgrimage items like torches, walking sticks, raincoats, socks, water bottles, and light snacks. Small eateries serve simple vegetarian food, tea, and packaged prasad. Shops usually open early morning and remain active till late night during peak yatra season, making it convenient for pilgrims to prepare before starting the journey.

Temporary Stalls

Along the yatra route, temporary stalls are set up during the pilgrimage season. These shops mainly sell drinking water, glucose, fruits, lemon drinks, incense sticks, basic medicines, and first-aid items. Prices may be slightly higher due to transportation difficulty, but availability helps pilgrims manage fatigue and minor health needs during the climb.

Local Shops

Near major Tonks and resting points, small local shops provide religious items, prasad, woolen clothes (seasonal), and basic necessities. These shops are modest but reliable, supporting pilgrims with last-minute requirements and contributing to the local economy.
