Spiritual importance
Moksha Kshetra
Shri Sammed Shikharji is revered as a supreme Moksha Kshetra in Jainism — a sacred land where the soul attains ultimate liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
According to Jain tradition, twenty Tirthankars attained Moksha (Nirvana) at this holy mountain. The spiritually charged environment, marked by deep silence, elevation, and natural purity, supports intense meditation and ascetic practices.
Every step of the pilgrimage represents detachment, self-discipline, and inner awakening. For devotees, Sammed Shikharji is not just a place to visit, but a sacred space to reflect, renounce, and progress toward spiritual liberation.
