Shree Adinath Shwetambar Upashray was established to support religious activities and spiritual practice for Shwetambar monks, nuns, and lay followers in Ahmedabad. Founded by local Jain sangh members several decades ago, the upashray became a central place for chaturmas stays, pravachans, samayik, and pratikraman. Designed with simplicity and serenity, the space promotes meditation, scriptural study, and disciplined living. Over the years, it has hosted respected acharyas and sadhus, strengthening Jain teachings within the urban community while preserving traditional values.

Trust details

The upashray is administered by the local Shwetambar Jain Sangh Trust of Ahmedabad. The trust consists of elected sangh representatives responsible for religious scheduling, maintenance, and coordination with monks and nuns. Funding is entirely donation-based, supported by community members and devotees. The trust ensures strict observance of Jain discipline and manages facilities with a seva-first approach.
